Antarctica Society

The mission of the Antarctica Society is to promote polar research and the Princess Elisabeth Antarctica station.

The Antarctica Society presents an open door for science and technology research to be carried out in the station. The final objective is to address the climate change challenge from an economical & social perspective with the corporate partners.

The Society offers a federative unit for all company efforts working towards sustainable development through economic growth, environmental balance and social progress. The Society also serves as a forum to help direct business contributions towards sustainable development research which is undergone within Polar sciences.

Various activities directed exclusively towards Society members took place during both the construction phase (2006-2008) and will take place during the operational phase (2009 and beyond).
