Check-ups on the Automatic Weather Stations
Regular check-ups on the automatic weather stations (AWS) as part of the PEACE project ensure year-round, reliable climate data from the Antarctic plateau. Each station transmits its measurements via satellite, allowing us to detect faulty instruments and replace them during field visits. Despite the harsh conditions, the team keeps these remote stations running with precise, hands-on maintenance.
