Clearing up
During the winter, snow accumulates at the foot of the Usteinen Nunatak, covering the entrances to the technical areas, which protects them from the harsh conditions prevailing during this time of the year. The first task of the team is to dig out at least one Prinoth tractor. This tractor can then be used to get rid of the rest of the snow, while the team takes care of cleaning the solar panels. The station's main building has been designed to avoid any snow accumulation, so there is no clearing away work to be done there.
