Live from Antarctica: Saturday November 29th

This is starting to feel like an Agatha Christie story. The six Japanese scientists left this morning as planned. This leaves 11 people at the base camp. We received news from Alain and the first convoy yesterday: their trip to the coast went well, and they arrived after a 17-hour drive.

Meanwhile, the small group here has made itself comfortable. The weather has also improved, and tomorrow is Sunday: after a well-filled week, we are looking forward to a break! Tomorrow, a more relaxed schedule is foreseen. We will also take part in a medical evacuation exercise from the station to the base camp. This way, we will be properly prepared should any accident occur. But right now, the sun is hiding behind the nunatak, and it's time to go to bed...
