Live from Antarctica : Tuesday December 23
The wind is holding up! That's been a long time... No news from the coast = good news. The unloading must be so intense that they don't even have time to give a phone call. That is, of course, a good thing.
So, no mounting of wind turbines today... The wind is so strong it almost blows us away as we walk over from the office tent to the mess tent.
Aside from the actual meal, to celebrate Christmas we also decided to each give a present to one other person on the team by drawing lots. The impossibility of being able to resort to certain easy gifts (a certain brand of gift cards, which offer a rather complete assortment of gifts, and which some of you, I am sure, have had the opportunity to use over the past few days!) should surely stimulate the Utsteiners' creativity!
