Participate in the Polar Quest contest and win a trip to Antarctica!

The Polar Quest contest is a unique opportunity for Belgian teachers in Brussels and Wallonia to go to Princess Elisabeth Antarctica during the 2014-2015 season.

Polar Quest aims to increase students' awareness about sustainable energy while encouraging their creativity, technology and communication skills. To enter the competition, each class must design and present a sustainable energy project to be implemented while their teacher is in Antarctica. The teacher of the winning class will accompany the technical team to Princess Elisabeth during the Antarctic summer season 2014-2015 for 4 to 6 weeks.

Polar Quest is open to all  5th year secondary school students (17 years old) in Brussels and Wallonia. The deadline for registration is Sunday the 1st of December 2013.

If interested, please register for our Information Day on 20 November at the International Polar Foundation headquarters in Brussels. Detailed information about the Polar Quest contest can be found on our education website: EducaPoles in both French and Dutch.

Last year, the Koen Meirlaen and his students from the Leiepoort Deinze campus Sint-Hendrik won the Polar Quest contest with their AHA project.

The Polar Quest contest is supported by the Brussels-Capital Region and Wallonia.
