Progress in Linkebeek: No Summertime Vacation for the Station’s Technical Integration

There is no summertime vacation for Linkebeek progression. Work has been carried out on several fronts, proceeding with the station's water treatment unit and its permanent scientific equipment.

As far as the water treatment unit goes, the interconnection of the bioreactors will soon be carried out on the Linkebeek site. The snow melter unit is currently under study while the elements of the technical core's water distribution network have been identified and will start being assembled in two weeks time.

Furthermore, a design for the station's permanent scientific equipment has been drawn up and should be approved by the Royal Institute of Meteorology next week. Following this design, the various stand-alone instruments needed to carry out ongoing atmospheric measurements at the station will be located at the south end of the station.
